Hi,
I have a problem with the roof on my 1998 230 slk. When I engage the roof button the motor runs but the boot won't open. On observation the nearside corner of the boot appears to be sticking. The motor is pulling against it but can't open it. I took it to the local Merc dealer which charged £40 to check electrical switches but couldn't find anything. They now want £330 (at discounted labour rates!) to investigate further. Any ideas gratefully received - or the name of a good local (Northwood Middlesex) auto electrician. Automotive Management Systems at Rayners Lane has been mentioned. Anyone heard of them. Help please.
