I know this question has been asked before but I am interested to know if any SLK owners have managed to get their SLK roof repaired at a reasonable price, and if so, by whom - I live in London.
My roof goes down part way and then just stops. On one occasion it wouldn't then go back up: great fun driving along a dual carriageway with the roof sticking up in the air.
Previous threads seem to suggest that MB dealers claim this is a virgin territory or that the time taken to strip down and repair is colossal.
George Fraser in west London has fiddled with some micro-switches from time to time but the problem always recurs.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
