Your Mercedes
W212 E350, and an SL350 for the weekend
Hi all

I have a 1998 SLK 230 which has been a cracker. But, the other day, the yellow ABS and Stab Control lights lit up on the dash. The vehicle was taken to garage, who told me that the Front Drivers VSS needed replacing. No probs, and booked in. This hasnt been fixed yet!

Today, for the first time since the warning lights came on, we tried to operate the roof, which would not open - the light in the switch just flashes!

Is this because of the VSS sensor fault? or is this something else?

I did note that if I push it into the close position, it will happily make the pump noise as usual, and shut the windows, it just wont open.

HELP?

JJ
