SLK Sound system

I want to upgrade the sound system on my SLK with a small sub and better speakers.

Was going to fabricate an MDF box and self tap screw into the rear bulkhead and have speaker between the front seats? any ideas and is there ones already been done?

The easiest way is to keep the head unit and add an amp, only a small one that has a sub woofer output, and not cutting off to low. You can make the box, must be air tight and felt / wool lined to absorb the sound of the cone going back to where it came from, ideally coming in on frequencies below 1k, or you will not here the effect in a car

Put one in several cars before - got one in my Megane too. Just the space issue with the merc
