SLK wheel arch spoilers?

noticed some have wheel arch spoilers, about 6 inches long.

Are these standard? optional? available? desirable? a waste of time?

they are standard. probably somehting to do with the wheels size. dunno if they come off. i would be interested to know so ask your dealer when it comes.

so do you mean they are standard on some wheel sizes only? presumably sexy sizes? ergo not standard on 200K standard wheels?

everything is my fault!

i wasn't very clear with my post. i have an idea that maybes the bit in question is fitted due to the width of the wheels we have here and some obscure law about wheels not poking out beyond bits of bodywork etc. i cant see how they would affect anything from an aerodynamic perspective tho.

the wheels size for some countries is a bit less than the ones they deemed suitable for our tastes! then again it may have something to do with the looks if you were to add mud gaurds or something!

i think they are okay but they do seem an add on. mind you, i dont like the AMG bodykit unless it is in Black. and the reason for that is that in silver the trim looks lumpy but you dont see it as bad in black. the non AMG cars look a lot cleaner in my view.

I have just looked at these pics and cant find the bit you mentioned. typical!!
