I have a noisy near side wheel bearing on an SLK 200, 2001. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace, and are there any special tools involved.

Sorry - Rear.

There is a special tool that allows you to do it in situ, but its easier to remove caliper and disc, hand brake shoes and cable, and then remove the hub assm and use a press to change it.
