SLK wing badge - on or off?

I've just had my R170 bonnet resprayed by my local dealer to get rid of some stone chips. They blended into the wings which involved replacing the Kompressor badges - or it would have, but they forgot to put them back on!

They've offered to send someone round to fit them on Friday. The thing is, I quite like the look of the car without them. Anyone else removed theirs?

And if I take the badges and try to fit them my self later (I presume they just stick on?) how easy is it going to be to get them on straight and in the right place?

leave them off.

they do stick on so take them and give them to the next owner. the car looks a lot better uncluttered.

Thanks SLinKyjoe.

I've just taken a look in daylight. You're right, it's definitely better without the badges.

They were a pig to clean properly anyway.

MB were fixing the rust on the rear wheel arches under warranty so I got the bonnet done at the same time. I didn't realise how much better itwould look with the few small stone chips removed. Well worth the money - as long as I can avoid getting any more chips......

....Does anyone know any roads between Edinburgh and Manchester (my commute) that nobody else uses?

yep, loads...but then everyone would use them so best not say!

ps. if you have the time. look at a map and go up the roads next to the main arterires..takes abit longer but you have more fun. example would be the A6 next to the M6. oh hang on, i am spoiling one of the pleasures of driving, namely the one where you take an adventure and follow a road to see where it goes! and remember, it is only a mistake to go down a road you know to be the wrong one!!!
