The wipers on my partners SLK have stopped working, fuses seem ok. Can anybody help please?

Also unrelated but when I lifted bonnet to check fuse the bonnet refused to lock and stay up, last time I opened it there was not a problem.

I will see what I can find on this.

Re the bonnet, push the handle forward in the car and the bonnet will close

S:K wiper and bonnet

I think you misundestood the bonnet problem, it will go down ok but it does not stay up by itself, I have to prop it up with a brrom handle to stop it falling on my head.

Wipers still not working, can you advise where the relay is located for wiper motor?

Thanks

Andy

You have the stalk switch and the N10 relay box and the wiper switch feeds in at pins 63 and 65

They are fused by F32 in block C its 15 amp

SLK wipers

sorry to sound so thick but the only bit I understand is that fuse is f32. Where do I find relay?

Thanks again

Could you ask the garage specifically what do the mean by the “module”
Wipers need a relay to control the intermittent aspect of the wiper motor.

Just a shot in the dark here but there is chance that the wiper motor is running but the wiper blade is not moving, to check, with the engine off, and in a quiet place, turn on the wipers to intermittent and listen closely to see if you can hear the motor cut in, for 1 second, about every 5 or 6 seconds.
Also try this on normal speed.
