I bought the car only a few weeks ago. It is an 05 with 52k miles. I have covered about 800 miles with it. Last week the oil level warning came on and said put in 1 litre at next refueling. Then a few miles later the red warning message came on Stop Immediately! Having switched the engine off and waited for a while the oil measurement said add 2 litres to reach maximum. The car was serviced before I got it, so could it have used up to 2 litre in 800 miles?

No thats far too much, it is either leaking badly or it wasnt correctly filled up on service and was on the minium, i would check it out asap!!
