SLK200 will not rev past 4500 revs, automatic

my 2001 slk200 has intermittent abs warning light on, engine will not rev over 4500 revs, will go through all gears and runs well until try to accelerate when power stops at 4500 revs. Can anyone help or give some advise please.

Hi and welcome. You probably need to get it on Star diagnostic to get to the bottom of this. The reluctancy to rev beyond 4500 might be MAF related and the Abs could be a wheel sensor. Take it to a good Merc independent and go from there.

It’s in limp mode to protect itself . As above , it’s diagnostic time
