SLK230 Changing heater control lamp

Hi,

I have an SLK230 Komp. and I need to change a dash bulb on the centre console behind the left heater control.

Can someone tell me the best way fo going about it?

If its like my W124 estate then you pull the heater cotrol switch off - pull towards the interior of the car - and the bulb sits in the centre of the switch. Gently pull this out and replace. Bulb costs around £2.

On a SLK, Slightly different. Pull of knob, then you need to take that centre console trim out by prying carefully from the bottom, it hinges at the top. Then getting to the bulb can be quite tricky, If its like my CLK then have some long nose pliers ready, and dont grip them too hard!
