SLK230 Wheels

My neighbours SLK ( 2001 ) is in very good nick apart from the wheels looking a bit grim due to the clear coat lifting and the waters got underneath it.
On previous cars where i have had a similar problem i have rubbed them down and repainted with a good 2 pack silver a and clear coat, is this still the best option
It seems as all MB's suffer from this,penny pinching comes to mind in the production process.

This clear coat finish has been dropped now and all wheels are chrome painted all over for the best part except the exotic AMG s etc.

where the wheels have corroded and the water has got under the lacquer, just sand or scrape this away, flatting it down, and you can then put what ever you like on them.
