I have a retrofit on my SLK320 done by a company called silverice in the UK. It allowed the roof to be retracted etc. using the keyfob. Stopped working recently. Manual says something about removing the fuse if you wanted to disable it and I wondered if the fuse had blown. Looking at the fuses under the bonner it's not clear which it might be. Wondered if there were fuses elsewhere in the car or if anyone had any ideas on this ?

Thanks Malcolm. I'll check to see if there's a blown fuse in there. The only other possibility is that the roof is taking some time to unclamp from the tope of the screen, which may be down to dirty sensors. I suspect that isn't the problem here, because the remote is not even making the roof try to retracts.

I have no experience of these mods, I understand though you should be able to unplug them, and revert to normal operation, I trust that the central locking is all working OK

Central locking works fine. The roof itself works fine going up, but occasionally sticks coming down (unclamping from the screen). My specialist tells me that the sensor(s) around the edge of the screen need a clean. So it feels like the mod simply isn't even kicking in. Shame, was useful when it worked.
