I have a 320 ML (99) slow as a shire horse. Its always very sluggish on accelerationat all points.
I have seen i can have it `chipped` does this make such a difference that makes it worth doing.
Has anyone else experienced whether its worth it.

Your Mercedes
A diesel
On a normally aspirated petrol engine chipping will have very little effect as all it can do is advance the ignition timing and MAYBE adjust the fuel mixture.
I say maybe for the fuel because StarChips said they didn't touch the fuel side for a BMW a few years ago.

Your mamngement system will be running the ignition timing as aggressively as possible anyway.
