Hi I have just bought a spares or repair 2003 Pulse Smart car. The engine only reaches 40 degrees, so I take it that it is the coolant thermostat, as the heated air is only just warm as well. The question is. Where is it and is this going to be difficult to change?

Tip of the engine at the back. It's a long tubular black plastic item with 3 or 4 hoses going in. Make sure you have plenty of sticking plasters.

Oh and one more thing... Only fit genuine.
Unless you fancy doing it again....

That is an interesting webpage. Thank you.
Now I have seen a clutch actuator in this manual. When the car pulls away there is a delay. Maybe this also needs adjusting. Very interesting and useful manual. Thanks again.

A slight delay is normal for these. The brakes need to release and the clutch actuator needs to engage. It would probably benefit from a clutch teach in on Star.
