Smartcar forfour

My wife has a small mercedes smart car,automatic she only uses now and again ,66 plate ,i put in for a service and when it came out the lights on the gear indicator doesnt work.
When changing from D R N P etc it used to have an indicating light.
Is this something the service caused or is it an easy fix ?

Most likely a back light bulb / LED has failed. Unrelated to the service, you’ll need to get to the back and find where the relevant bulb / LED is.

I just went out to try it there and it looks like all the lights are lit up,but when i shift the lever they fliker but dont show in seperate slots.
