smell of diesel fumes in the cabin

Hi all!, I am sure this has been spoken about somewhere on this forum.
so apologies...any way filling up today jumped in car and started to smell fumes in the cabin.checked the usual out and did not have windows down when re-fuelling etc...everything seems fine..its a 2007 E220CDI face lift...any ideas before i take it back to stealer i mean dealer.:)

I had this problem.

It turned out to be a slightly leaking injector seal - not uncommon.

If you remove the plastic engine covers you may see black gunk around the top of the head. Failing that it could be a leaking fuel pipe - unlikely on a car as new as yours though.

Hi there
My no.1 fuel injector is leaking so am in sympathy with silent driver...don't use stealerships if I can help it. Any idea where I can get brand new 1 with seals without the need to rob a bank?
