Smoky joe and his glow plug

E320 Cdi Avantgarde 01 Just Purchased. Start Her Up In The Morning Light Grey Smoke From The Back End For About 5 Mins Glow Light On The Dash Goes Out Before Start Then Comes Back On After Start For 5 Mins Then Goes Out. Any Thoughts Senior Members.

An open circuit plug, or a faulty relay.
Others may be able to elaborate on this, especialy tips on replacing them.

Sort it out, the light grey smoke is probably unburnt fuel which will wash all the oil of the bores just when you need it most.

Test them for open circuit first before you spend your cash, as Wireman says, it may be a relay
