I haven't use them on my MB yet. I have used them on other cars though. Your hands go very numb putting them on so come the snowy weekends I just leave them on and then drive the mile or so to the hills at 20mph, much to the annoyance of fellow motorists. I then swerve round the road closed sign and head to hills. I then park up and get out the xcountry skies.

Have you ever tried driving in xcountry boots?

I did notice there is some button, on some models, that you can get on the dash for snow chains, I think it limits the speed you can drive.

Dont think snow chains would be ideal with the size of tyres you have.
To drive in snow you will need narrow tyres and taller sidewalls.
