Can anyone tell me the socket size required for the front hub (wheel bearing) nut on a C240 203 2001 model ? Thanks.

Its very important when tightening wheel bearings to keep the hub rotating so that the rollers do not make dents in the cages.
Leave the wheel on and spin it while doing up the nut so that the wheel slows and then back off a touch.

I am going for 24mm now a socket will not go on,use a open ended

I thought that it dosent need a socket, the nut is locked with a 5mm allen key and the spins off, i might be being thick!!
