Soft Closing Doors retrofit...

As part of the ongoing upgrades to my 2003 S Class, I have bought a written off S500 with all the gadgets including the leather dash and rear parcel shelf etc..... It also has the soft closing door option and I was wondering how difficult it is to fit. I am assuming that the soft close bits are actually part of the door lock mechanism on the doors rather than on the body and also assume they would come off quite easily!!

Anyone have any knowledge? I get the car delivered to my unit on Wednesday and can have a good look then but just wondered in advance as I am so impatient!! Once all the bits are off thisone, only a fridge to go to complete the work!

Hi Barry, this was never a retro fit so no details on that line.

I will have details on removing and replacing the components,,See what I have tonight
