Hello
I bought a 54 plate E220 Merc
When i was driving it back from the garage after getting it about 2 months ago, I noticed a strange humming noise, sounded like either a wheel baring, or a break sticking on.
I took it straight back to the dealers i bought it from and was told after half a day they couldnt find anything wrong with it, to cause the noise.
Thinking well at least the wheels arent falling off i took it away.
Then i thought its a twenty five grand car and it shouldnt happen i took it to another dealers.
they blamed it on the 3 Wani tyres the dealer had put on my car.
I thought straight away the tyres were cheap.
I asked them to try some alloys and different tyres on my car they said no problem but it will cost you £90.00
I then thought no way and took the car, stiill humming.
I have sent a complaint via email to Mercedes head office and someone said its being investigated.
The car has one Mitchelin tyre just above legal limit and 3 brand new wani tyres.
Does anyone have any ideas on what i should do?
Or if you think this is even my problem. As I dont see why I should pay £90.00 just to see if its the tyres or not.
Your help and views would be welcome.
