Oh dear, i bought a Rover, (no hate crowds please)

Very nice!, 600TI series, Turbo 2.0l, 200BHP on Tap , quite nice shape and in red.....

Will post a piccie in the morn.

The best thing is, people just won't know about how quick this car is, and will get a nasty surprise when trying to cut me off on the dual carriageway, muhahahahh! :)

I'm not to up on Rovers (do they still make them?) or their numbering conventions.

Is this a six litre turbo injection? I think that could be quite fast and you might trouble lighting your pipe at these speeds.

nah the V8 was 'THE BEST' Rover engine (if you discount the REAL Rover engines engines pre the R 2000 and the V8's) even if it was a Yank in disguise. That is a nice engine though i thought it was 220 BHP a front tyre eater if ever there was one even worse than a T5 Volvo and tramlines like mad never mind the torque steer Have FUNNNNN

Nah again what you want is a 740TI Volvo estate looks like a shed and goes like a Saturn V drives from the right end too and can give the boys in their Scoobie WRX's a real fright. But then again get a real car a MB  and you can let the clowns cut you up and just smile and relax and wonder why people drive like that:( :D

I don't really like volvo's they are quite boxy, but none the less very well built.

and my 850 is just as fast if not faster point to point than my SL 500 in real terms being that i drive it MUCH faster than the SL 500. The 740TI EST i was given with 300K miles on the clock was an awesome car so much fun and so fast a boy racers nightmare - how to look a total prat in front of your girlfriend get blown off by an old man driving a shed of a Volvo - i live about 2 mins away from the local 'car spot' so my roads are full of noisey hot hatches. Blew one off in the SL the other week and they were whooping with glee wanting more but when i did that with the 740TI EST they slunk away downcast he he.

My SL has 306 bhp and the V70R has 285bhp , I drive my V70R much faster than my SL too, 30-50mph in the V70R is electric, the wheels spin if you foor it from 30 mph.

Re the Rovers,i used to like the 3.5 very thirsty though as was the 3500.

Had a Rover 416 GSI , lovely car and very comfortable.
Had the Honda engine which made it very quick and surprised a few people with its acceleration.

I had a 216 convertible with the Honda engine. Never let me down, but it looked about as pretty as Shawn McGowan with a grin on his face...

My uncle just sold his Rover P4 100 (did I get that right?)
