We’re in the process of buying a 2013 E200 CGI (Pre-facelift) Convertible.
I grew up with Mercs as my dad was a Taxi/Limo driver so have always had a soft spot for them.

Sounds a fun car to own, shame Irish road fund licence (or whatever they call it) makes owning anything above 2L prohibitivly expensive! We looked a few years ago at taking over my BIL's B&B in Kilkenny, but taking my 3l 968 to register in Ireland - OUCH!! Even our 2.2L S204 would hurt.

Thanks for the lovely welcome. We like our soft tops. I have a 98 Alfa Spider and we are trading in an Audi A4 convertible so will be interested in the difference.
Since 2008 car tax has been based on CO2 emissions so the Merc will be €600, which is a decrease €73. Which is my justification for changing the car
