Can anyone who owns a petrol 190/190e please confirm if the whole underside of your bonnet is covered with a foam pad for sound insulation?i have a bad feeling mine did have but after a trip to mechanic it has gone!i just cannot be 100% sure
Or not.. apparently there's no room to upload attachments, that's cool.. I'll use my webspace
My 1986 190E, as standard, had the pad in the area shown on this pic (the bottom 1/4 of bonnet), but in the picture it's been removed. I think only the later petrols may have had the full pad, and other countries' models may or may not also.
I bought a new full-size pad (actually, it's the one to fit early diesel models), which fitted like this:
I want to do the same thing to my 123 200. When i enquired at merc, they told me they were only fitted to the 280. Ive been trying to find someone with a 280 so i can 'borrow' the chassis number to order it.
