Hi all,

When the engine on my W202 C280 reaches about 90deg, i hear a mellow grinding sound like something is under stress.

What could this be? I know my duo valve is gone.

Could this be the culprit as it tends to leak hot air.

Anyone experienced this?

I would put a large screwdriver blade onto the water pump and the handle to your ear, could be water pump as it is in full swing at 80c

Thanks Malcolm will check it out. The water pump is new though. It was replaced 4mths ago!
