Spare remote for C320 2000

Hi all

Have just collected spare remote I ordered form Mercedes Colchester.

It worked fine straight out of the packet and even worked fine on door sensor
which opens all windows and sun roof.

Only complaint is how can they justify £185.00 inc vat for such a small peice of electronics.

For £185 you could buy a TV / High spec mobile phone/ video camera or even a portable DVD players or dozens of other more complicated electrical items.

Aah well at least it worked ok

Because the coding is very good (not many Mercedes get stolen without the key), there is an RF & IR transmitter along with an immobiliser chip and a nice chrome surround. Also check out the prices for FORD or VW you will find them similar if not more expensive.

It is not the cost of the key so much as the number of hands that it has to be passed through to complete the order.

But that is still cheaper then Volvo and many others
