Hi,

After takeing my spark plug wire (4) & 2 ignition coils apart from the engine. In doing so i needed to take apart the air intake manifold, the throttle actuator etc.

How do I test these 2 parts condition without putting them back together?

Without a test bed, the coils cannot be tested, they need a capacitor on the primary to act as a gate in the in the induce mode to stop the induced voltage being lost back through the primary of the coil, and to force the induced energy out of the secondary.
Coils cannot be measured on a ohm meter as one short turn in 16,000 cannot be measured, the effect of a short turn will cause the coil to get hot and reduce the output that can result in a weak spark.

The leads can be measured on a meter

Will an auto-electrical have all the necesary equipment to test this without having to bring in the whole car? I dont want to put it back together yet, besides the car now shakes. This was not the sysmpton before i pull then together the 1st time. Prior to this the sympton was lack/lost of power but now its shaking, without diagnostic tool to show, i have pull all apart again in the hope to test them individually (process of elimination).

Hi

Can I ask a few question about this subject matter.

1) Is using an ohmmeter to measure the Ignition Wire from spark plug connector to Coil Plug end, accurate to determine which of 4 are faulty?

2) I'm able to unscrew the Spark Plug Connestor end but seems hard to remove the Coil end of the connector. How to remove this end?

3) Whats the replacement MB part number, some mention Bosch, brumi, Karlyn, bruni etc?

4) where can I buy that ships internationally?

Thanks
