Speaker upgrade

I would like to improve the audio performance of my 2005 C200k (w203?) and wondered if anyone has done the same? I don't want a massive, thumping set-up just better than the standard set. I do not want to cut the doors etc.

Any ideas who makes custom fit speakers or can a specific size fit straight in?

take the car to a car audio specialist, I fitted custom fit JBL to a 911 and they made a huge difference and didnt cost the earth either, you can DIY or et them to do it.

This interests me too - just bought a C270 [w203] 2003 and I think the speakers distort/rattle. The dealer says they are fine - they heard them on a good day. I'm thinking it might be less hassle to upgrade them myself do you just take off the speaker cover or do you have to take the whole inside of the door apart - if it's the latter it may stiffen my resolve to give the MB dealer a hard time.http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif
