I can only seem to get the rear parcel shelf speakers working on my 96 W210. Maybe thats all thats in the car. Although if i could up the possible speaker locations there should be ten speakers in it. I was looking around for a post on how to remove the door cards. If anyone has any ideas that would be great!

Cheers

There should be 6 speakers. two in the front door (front of door bin and top "quarterlight" position.

Door cards are held by poppers around the edge.

I think that there's a screw in the handle and one near the opening lever. There may also be one on the edge near the door lock.

I'm sure that there's a thread stating how to remove W210 door cards somewhere.

Thanks for thet CYPS. I am going to leave that job for next weekend and sort out the stereo/car kit in one go. I took out the sony stereo that came with the car and put my own pioneer/mp3 player into it and the power goes completely from the stereo when i take out the key leaving me to program the tuner again when i start the car.

The door cards have to come off anyway because one of the many previous owners of the car thought that it would be a good idea and look very flash to put the chrome bowls in behind the door handles. If anyone else thinks they are a good idea they will be available for me for the cost of the postage next week!

Cheers

I don't think it should have had a Sony stereo to start with so I would guess that the previous owner did a job on the speaker wires as well as the ignition sense and permanent live.
