They do work I have then on mine from SCDB but would advise subscribing for what it costs and downloading direct

Yes, I use SCDB on my Comand 5*2. 9.90€ a year for as many updates as you want. Works well for me.

did you read the instructions.... huge thing about Merc doing an update at service time permanently TURNING OFF audible notification !!!

I bet if one was clever.... you could add these to an update CD for older stuff

That refers to the FUP2 update for MBUX so my NTG5*2 Comand should be fine - for the time being!

There is a list of Mercedes vehicles with specific maps that the database won’t show on, the W205 2019 maps is one of them

I wonder if the audible warning deletion is related to the new change in German law outlawing speed cam warnings


May 2020 both Garmin and TomTom have contacted their registered users by email alerting them to the news that speed camera detection systems are now banned in Germany.

The move is part of sweeping reform in Germany, and this change is just one in a long list of amendments the German Federal Council has adopted to the road traffic laws.

Germany has already for some time made it illegal to use specific speed camera detection systems, Snooper and Radar, and such like, although the new ruling makes it illegal to even use the built-in software that most major SAT NAV manufacturers use.

The hard to police change will mean that any motorists travelling through or to Germany on a motorcycle tour will need to manually disable the speed camera detection within the SAT NAV’s menus or risk a €75 fine!

Me too! Mind you, I’ve never practiced getting the arm rest open and fumbling for the SD card whilst slowing down for the Gendarme that is asking me to stop!

Anything which warns the driver about the location of speed cams is illegal in Germany and France.

I’m assuming you have followed the instructions here and have set the POIs to display on the map?

Otherwise, just a couple of thoughts:
- Are you allowing the car to load the POIs? They say it can take up to 10 minutes, mine takes about two minutes.
- Their “Europe” file has 52k entries and the Mercedes system can only cope with 30k. I usually just download UK and France unless I’m off somewhere else.
- The SD Card has to remain in the Card slot all the time.

I managed to download a file from GPS data team .. 2.99 mb . It accepted that one. Not bad for a quid no subscription required.
