speed limter ?

hi there,

does anyone know how to remove the speed limiter on my clk420?
it starts hitting the limiter at 150 mph, a real 145 on the gps, and its not on the red line!! so that has to go!! :twisted:

your thoughts please!!

Pernament speedtronic setting or re-setting

• Box in 'P', key in position '2' engine off.
• Turn on speed limiter on (push lever towards steering and light will illuminate)
• Pull lever towards you after about 1 sec. and set speed will appear in display.
• Move lever up or down to set chosen speed limit. If you want no limit set "---"
• To store this or any other top speed, pull lever towards you till you a warning signal is heard.

If you cannot go any faster After this you are getting into chipping.
Or maybe an AMG or driving downhill:grin:

You'll only get another 5mph anyway, as there is a hardwired limiter at 155, as with all cars these days. There are ways around them, ebay has a few gadgets I believe.

and i bought the car in glasgow, the previous owner was mr dalziel, glasgow, and the car was his own car, he replaced it with a audi........ :Oops: and i found it in the autotrader, full mbsh, 1 owner from new
