Speed regulator for blower

I have a 1997 E320 with a defective speed regulator for the ventilation blower. I have checked with MB dealers and indepentant MB repair shops only to be told that the regulator is not made for this model of E320 now. I was told that I would need a new blower and regulator. Does any one know where I can find a regulator that will fit a 1997 E320 ventilation blower?

So does yours need to go onto no 5 and then not really blow much when there then as mine does this and thought it was just mercs way ?

Blower regulator

The pollen filter has been changed.I took it out and brushed it off. My blower speed will only go to medium.

hi chaps a note of warning,dronsfield mercedes have cost me a lot of money with damaged goods,i wouldnt touch them with an extreamly long pole,i doubt i will ever get my money back,be warned happy motoring steve 94 s class

Hi Nolen, does your E320 have climate control? If so getting these are like finding hens teeth. Ive been after one for my merc for over a year. Seems MB changed the design in 98 and to replace them you need a new blower, & regulator and mounting.. best part of £500

Can you not get the 'new' parts used? Presumably the blower,reg and bracket are simply what is fitted to any post 98 model?
If you don't fancy Dronsfields then try MercMan in Southampton. Only bought a washer bottle from them but I couldn't complain.

Merc man has recently broken 2-3 Avantguarde's I believe 97-99 vintage so they should be able to sort you out.

Ive been on the list at Mercman for some months, seen them in person, and also spoken to their Cornish offshoot who specializes in electrical odds and sods, like I say, theyre very rare!
