I'm interested to learn if other have the same negative opinion on the MB Sport seats? In my case the seats of my 2011 E250 CDI AMG Sport. The following comments relate to my longest regular trip since car purchase two weeks ago of 14 miles.

The seat back lugs dig into my ribs at the kidney areas and because of this prevent my back and spine getting full support. In other words I just can't sit far back enough to avoid excessive pressure from these side lugs.

I'm 5'10", 36" waist, 38" chest and weigh 74kg. What spec. must my body have to be comfortable in these seats?

I take it there is no adjustment for the side bolsters?

I ask as I rode in a C63 and found the seat a very tight fit, when I commented on it the driver made some adjustment and the sides of the seat relaxed outwards!

There is an option at time of ordering a new W212 to include a fully electrically "moldable" seat. However for poorer (retired) folk like me buying my second used E-class, such luxury is not an option.

Truly these lugs are enormous and very firm in construction. The width of the back panel within the lugs is in my opinion insufficent, i.e. I cannot squirm a millimeter. Unfortunately they are detail-stitched as well as functionally-stitched all around and without zip access I guess that a re-upholstery will not be possible.

All comfort seat options adjust the side bolsters, this is a must for me on every car,,, though I have never had any back problems, I do not want to start getting them, my last longest trip was 5 hours non stop and getting out as fresh as a daisy, You cannot reduce the side bolsters, but some thing in the canter section would ease the problem and reduce the pressure from the bolsters
