Hi all, I have just acquired a Command unit for my wifes 02 Evo coupe. The car was originally imported from Belgium but RHD.
Is it likely that the GPS antenna and wiring for the Command is there already or will I have to install it? Does anyone know where the GPS antenna is located on the factory fit cars? I have successfully fitted one to my 02 C Class Saloon and it was worth the effort.
Thanks
Paul.

02 could be OBD11 and not MOST is it the correct one for the car.

The most suitable COMAND for that car is the A203 870 52 42 unit. There are others such as A203 820 91 89 and A203 820 96 89 but the A203 870 52 42 is the newer unit.

You can locate the antennae just above and to the left of the centre air vents once you have removed them. Its unlikely that the antennae will be installed on the car unless it had COMAND or APS30 from the factory. There is very little wiring to change (2 wires) unless you have a CD changer (5 wires).

If you've done a comand install on an 02 C class (W203) before, its just about the same for the Coupe.

The MOST based units are the DVD versions and didnt come in until the April 2004 build W203 cars.

Hi guys, thanks for the reply. The unit I have aquired is the A203 870 52 42.
The install I did on mine involved buying a loom from Mercedes, judging by what you are saying Alfie, this is not necessary. Could you advise as to what wires need changing?
Thanks
Paul.
