hi all

does anyone know roughly how much it *should* cost to get my rear bumper touched up. There is some sratching and scuffing to the central part of the bumper where someone bumped into me (and drove of) so I either have to claim on the insurance (which I'd rather not) or pay myself. Its only on the mid section below the reverse sensors, the paint doesnt look too badly marked but I just want to keep it as good as new really. The car is a 05 C-Class estate wich silver (metallic) paint.

You are probably looking around £70-£100 to respray it or maybe £50 for the chips boys to have a go. The bodyshop I'm booked into (Mrs had a small mishap with the garage door frame) charges £90 per panel and £60 to blend in to the surrounding panels.

I aggree with Jberks, with the cost for total bumper job, do the whole thing, much better than blending. If you take it off yourself should be no more than £65

Price for Bumper Spray Job!

I get all my work done by somwone I know & pay £40.00 per bumper. He assures me that he does ok out of this, and so you should pay no more than £80.00, or they are taking you for a ride!!. Take into account any impact damage as plastic primer may be required which will push the price up a bit.
