Hello
I have a 311CDI Sprinter yr 2003. Recently whilst accelerating through the gears it made a loud clicking noise from the engine and immediately cut out, after a couple of minutes stationary it started up as though nothing was wrong, drove fine, no smoke...nothing, and has been fine since (done about 50 miles)
I'm worried this might be the start of something and want to get to the bottom of it before it lets me down in the middle of nowhere on a freezing cold evening!
It is regularly serviced (not due for a few thousand miles) uses very little oil and does the average MPG for a sprinter.
Any Ideas?
