I'm wondering if any of you guys could direct me with some advice.:???:

I have a 2000 x reg sprinter, who's indicators have just suddenly stopped working, the hazard switch on the steering column is not working either. Everything else on the stalks, lights, wipers etc is all ok.

I have cheked the fuses, all ok, the relay is ready normal as in resistance on the coil and contacts.

Didn't know if any other sprinter owners have had this and i'm missing something. I'm beginning to think it must be the indicator stalk assembly, but before I buy one I thought i'd just ask.

Any comments would be gratefully appreciated, thanks

Could be the hazard switch itself, if this breaks the indicators wont work. Have a fiddle with it and push it in and out a few times (she said!)

There prone for indicator stalk's, also flasher relays, try this first as well as fuse boards, located below the steering wheel. Check this for faulty contacts on the back of the pcb, watch the red wire 10mm nut is permanent live! Also 2000 may have an air bag in the steering wheel, be carefull! As you have to remove the wheel to fit a indicator stalk.

Thanks for those tips, I've had the steering wheel off today, no airbag luckily. When I move the indicator stalk the relay at the bottom of the electrical unit under the steering column is clicking, so I know the stalk is possibly working, I suspect it must be the flasher unit, however I have no idea where it is, If anyone has any clues that would help, as I'm getting some right filthy looks whilst driving, turning right is a nitemare!!!

In the fuse box about 10 mm by 20mm black thing, also cost about £11.00 just replace it as they are a common fault.

sprinter mirror indicators

please can any one give me some advice on how to change the indicator bulb located in the external mirror of my 2008 sprinter , i have been told my my local dealer that in some cases it has been easier to just change the whole mirror indicator assembly , this cannot be right can it ?

You would be better off starting this a new thread, but the lens cover comes out, bit fiddly.
