Hi,
I've a Sprinter 308D Excessive brake pedal travel first pump, getting brakes about half way down, then second press full brakes...
I have bleed the whole system in the correct order (RL, RR, FL, FR) and still get pedal travel on the first press.
I tested the master cylinder by blocking exit ports with temporary folded pipe couplings and pedal is rock hard instantly. Then I blocked the ABS pump exit ports and the pedal travel returns!
I presume this means that the ABS pump is either no good or, if possible, there is air trapped in it??
Does anyone have any information about bleeding the ABS unit? as the last thing I want to do is to replace the ABS pump unecessarily, obviously. $$
Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lea
