Hi All,

I am just in the process of replacing a shredded v belt on my 99v sprinter 310d, the new belt that i have bought (qbr62075) seems huge and cant seem to lose this slack whichever way i route it. looking at the black sticker on the side of the drivers seat platform it has a code 312d-KA which makes mewonder if i have the correct belt now!

Has anyone had the same problem or maybe a diagram? I managed to find one diagram but seemed a different layout.

Thanks,

Ashley

Thankyou malcolm,

That diagram looks alot more like the layout apart from I have an extra small pulley to the left of the power steering , i'm guessing the belt will be going over this? I'm sure i tried this way yesterday though and the belt seemed to have around 35cm slack.. do you know the correct lenth at all for the 310d with aircon? the one i have is 2075mm.

Thanks,

Ashley

sorted this now thanks but.....the tensioner is rocking hence the belt coming off, think it must be the tensioner bushes that have worn, is this a common problem?

Sorry I do not supply any parts, turning the pulley with the belt off will show any fault up with it

check the front crank pulley before you start the engine!!!!,.. shreds of belt hide in behind the crankshaft pulley, then when you start the engine in knocks the front main seal out =[

ever done a cam chain,..its slapping?? think it might be the hydraulic tensioner?? never done one ,..yet lol
