Sprinter 311 cdi 2002

Just got a Sprinter 311 cdi 2002 and it will only start with easy spray but when running it will run as normal I can hear the relay for heater plugs clicking in and out any clues for me where to start please. I was told its not the heater plugs they where checked ...
