sprinter 313mwb lacks power

Hi, have problem with my sprinter 313, 52 plate. 20-25 mins into a journey I seem to lose power as if the turbo is not working. Have been told this could be the fuel filter, which I changed. What I did notice the old filter was not full with deisel so thought the problem was air so filled the new filter fully and the van behaved well for a week or so but am now back to the same problem so I checked fuel filter again and it was like the original (half empty). Also if I switch off ignition the van will not restart for a few mins but if left for a couple of hours it starts fine and problem reoccurs after 20 mins again.

There's an in-line fuel filter, according to another member I think it's underneath the van just back from the passenger seat.

Not on that one there aint.

If the fuel fillter is pulling in air you will see air bubbles from the fuel pump clear pipes to the fuel filter( I hade the same problem)
