Hiya I hope somebody can help and thanks for reading.
My 2004 sprinter battery keeps running flat.Ive tried different batteries and tested the alternator. All fine.
However the other day I noticed the digital odometer and clock display was remaining on.I'm also getting the 'key in' alarm when I open the door.Does anybody know a way to free or bypass this switch ? Or even if this is likely to be the problem ? Many thanks.

i am not sure how the key in alarm works i am guessing it is tied in with the interior light as when you open the door the warning sounds what sort of current drain are you getting have you put an amp meter across your battery to see how much current drain you are getting, i would then start removing fuses one by one until you find the circuit that is causing the drain, are you sure an interior light isn't being left on maybe one in the back or something.

An Ammeter should be connected inline between the battery and the supply to the car or in the return link between the chassis and the battery with the current flow entering the instrument Red lead and leaving from the Black lead and never across the batteries terminals, at best this will blow fuses in your test instrument, worst case will damage it permanently,
