sprinter headlamp warning alarm

My 96 sprinter 312d headlamp warning alarm has just started staying on at half volume when the lights are turned off and the front doors open.it stops when you shut the door & works at normal volume when the lights are left on.there doesnt appear to be any blown bulbs.

any ideas
