Hi my heater blower on a sprinter 311 cdi 53 reg seems to work when it feels like it. Once working it will keep on working. If i switch it off it probably wont start again. I suspect the actual motor. can anyone tell me how to access the blower please or troubleshoot further. First time posting thanx in advance for any help.

Sounds like it needs new motor brushes.

It does sound like the blower motor brushes, but it could also be stiff bearings, I had a similar problem earlier this year, and it eventually caused the resistor to burn out, so it's worth checking.
The blower comes out pretty easily, it's on the top left of the engine compartment as you look at it from the front, held in by 3 bolts, it has 1 plug, and a vacuum line type thing attached, you'll also need to move the insulation back out of the way to maneuver it out, took me 30 minutes to get it out squirt a bit of oil in the bearings, and bolt it back in again.
