Hi there. i have a 2001 316cdi sprinter. On the dash it has the option of a clock or outside temp display. when i push the button to display the temp it just reads oC--- I understand this is not right so i contacted my local dealers who obtained a replacement sensor using my vin number. I put this on (behind front bumper) but to no avail. I still have the same problem. I have flashed the wires together and i get a reading of oC-40 I am told (by friend) that this proves that the wiring is ok as it changes the display. I am now at a loss as to the cause of what it could be. Any help would be most welcome as i will not be taking it into dealers as i cannot warrant a hefty bill for such a trivial problem.
Cheers in advance
Paul.

I do not intend to "hijack" the thread, but my post may bump your question to the top aswell working out well for both of us.

My 2002 311Cdi is supposed to have this function aswell so i am told. Does anyone know if it was an option or a standard feature, as the necessary control to get it to display does nothing.
