Sprinter Problem

Hi, first post newbie asking question.....

My friend has a Sprinter (can get spec later) and the wheel nuts keeping coming off. Which causes some obvious problems as you can imagine!

I advised him to either fit the fluroscent tags which indicate whether they are slipping or to invest in some locking wheel nuts.

So my question is where do you reckon i can get hold of some of these locking wheel nuts? Are they pretty much generic things i.e. i can get them anywhere and i just have to make sure i get the right size etc...

Locking wheel nuts do not lock in that sense. They are called such because they need a 'key' to turn them. If the wheel nuts are coming loose this wont solve your problem.

Hi

I would check the wheel nuts & the threads in the hubs. There is a problem some where there. Also check the dish of the wheel where the nuts sit. Make sure he is tightening to 180Nm. Wheel nuts don't come loose for no reason at all.
