Sprinter seat base

Ok so i.m trying update a 1996 sprinter too the later 2000 year passenger seat with post centre seat belt . Clearly it will not fit on early seat base .does anyone know is the base is a frame or a box like the MK2 2006 onwards . I have tried find one on line with no luck

if i remember rightly its a box
