Squeaking noise

Hi all,
I own a 1994 W202 C280. I have recently noticed that on start up, there is a squeaking sound which goes away once the engine has warmed up.

Could anyone tell me where this irritating sound could be coming from?

loose fan belt perhaps ? have you checked to see if its cracked/worn, you may need it replaced or the tensioner tightened,

then again, have you tried starting the car and listening for the noise with the bonnet open, to try to pinpoint the sound ?
