Squeaking screeching Heater Fan on 124 (300E)

Hello All,
I have an '89 300TE with a noisy heater fan. An earlier post recommended spraying copious amounts of lubricant into the air intake. I'm not so sure about this. I imagine the bushings are going out on the motor. Does anybody have any tips?
